About the Role

FAMA Global is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team for the Fish Farm Mali project. We are a multinational agriculture company dedicated to transforming food security across Africa through sustainable farming and advanced technology.

In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining our financial integrity, managing compliance, and supporting our mission to empower local economies and improve livelihoods.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Oversight: Manage daily financial recording, ensuring all expenses are accurately vouched.
• Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations for bank, debtor, and inter-company accounts.
• Procurement: Oversee invoice accuracy and prepare purchase orders (POs) aligned with budget availability.
• Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to local labor and tax laws, including payroll documentation and statutory filing.
• Documentation: Coordinate documentation for imports and maintain systematic archives of all financial records, receipts, and vouchers.
• Asset Management: Track inventory and asset levels to ensure accurate reporting.

What You Bring

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience:At least 2 years of professional accounting experience in Mali.+5 years overall experience in accounting.
• Skills: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills to engage with corporate, government, and institutional clients.
• Languages:Proficiency in English and Hindi is required. French is highly desirable.
