The U.S. Embassy in Bamako is seeking one individual for the position of Logistics and Liaison Coordinator for the Anti-Terrorism Assistance (ATA)/Special Program for Embassy Augmentation Response (SPEAR) program in the Regional Security section.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:
The incumbent will provide logistical and inventory support to the approximately $2 million ATA/SPEAR program at US Embassy Bamako.  The position will also provide and serve as a liaison with the Government of Mali (GOM), and other international embassies and organizations who share similar security concerns.  She/he will take the lead in the acceptance, coordination and delivery of all ATA/SPEAR training courses and programs, while also lending assistance to visiting ATA/SPEAR in-country mentor(s), instructors, and other personnel/trainers. The position will report directly to the Assistant Regional Security Officer (ARSO) tasked with the SPEAR Program, and the Senior Foreign Service National Investigator (SFSNI).

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
University/College degree in Public Administration, Security, General Management and/or Business, Human Resources, Criminal Justice or English is required.
Three to five years of prior experience in administration, logistics, personnel management and project implementation, and/or coordination with law enforcement, military, judicial or international organizations.
Level III (Good knowledge) English and Level IV (Fluent) in French and Bambara is required. English will be tested.
Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Must have a Malian driver license (D) and be able to lift 70 lbs.
Must be able to interact effectively with persons at all levels of government and the private sector.
SELECTION PROCESS:
When fully qualified, U.S. Citizens Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) and U.S Veterans are given preference.  Therefore, it is essential that the candidate specifically address the required qualifications above in the application.

Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy. 
Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
Current Ordinarily Resident employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report are not eligible to apply.
Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
