USAID/Mali has an immediate opening for an experienced AID U.S. Resident Hire Personal Service Personal Services Contract Information Management Specialist (IMS) who will play the principle Mission role in the conceptualization, design, development and management of databases. Specifically, s/he will offer technical advice in the development of concepts and designs for new and modified databases. The IMS is expected to initiate and proactively identify and address Mission information management needs
To be considered for this position applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:
1. Hold United States citizenship;
2. Hold a Baccalaureate degree or equivalent of a four-year U.S. university degree, (equivalency accreditation if a non-U.S. institution) preferably in a relevant field such as geography, computer science, information management;
3. Have at least seven (7) years of GIS, website and database management experience; as well as four (4) years’ experience in the use of ArcGIS software; MS Access database software; image manipulation software (Photoshop); and website management software (Dreamweaver or other). Incumbent must be familiar with internet technology and able to set up a file transfer protocol to maintain the website on the server in Washington. S/he must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to carry out multiple initiatives simultaneously with limited supervision.
