USAID/Mali has an immediate opening for an experiencedAID U.S. Resident Hire Personal Services Contract Sr. Agriculture and Management Specialist. The Senior Agriculture and Management Specialist (SAMS) will work closely with the Team Leader and other senior team members to provide senior-level management and technical support to USAID/Mali’s AEG team to achieve the Mission’s program objectives in agriculture and economic development. The primary function of the SAMS is to provide managerial and programmatic support to the team in order to ensure program and operational efficiency.
To be considered for this position applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:
1. Hold United States citizenship;
2. Hold a MA or MS degree;
3. Have at least eight (8) years of progressive experience in managing bilateral/multilateral international development programs in agricultural development is required. Experience in project design, management, and reporting is required. Experience in managing teams and organizing work programs required. Experience representing organization(s) in francophone countries, preferably in West Africa, is required. The candidate must have effective international program development/management experience including strategic planning and analysis while residing in a transitional or developing country
