USAID/Mali has an immediate opening for an experiencedAID Effectiveness Coordinator who will work in close collaboration with senior mission management and technical teams to ensure that USAID/Mali effectively delivers its development assistance, and implements the Agency’s implementation and procurement reform agenda under USAID Forward. The applicant must have completed Bachelor’s degree required, but preference to Masters in International Development, Development Economics, Public Administration, or other relevant field. A minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in the implementation and/or management of development activities/projects. H/she demonstrated professional experience in the area of international aid in a developing country, including a minimum of 5 years of development assistance work, or related work for donors, Government of the Republic of Mali, or other private institutions. Superior English and French speaking and writing skills are essential. Level IV required. Must have a thorough understanding of USAID, including how USAID Missions operate, USAID programming, USAID strategies and effective practices, and an understanding of the inter-relationships of different technical and support offices of a USAID Mission. The incumbent must be knowledgeable of development and economic theory, the Paris Declaration and USG foreign assistance principles and modern reforms. H/She must have strong interpersonal, written and oral communication and leadership skills. H/she demonstrated ability to implement, monitor and document progress (or lack thereof) of institutional development programs and reforms.
