WORK HOURS: Full-time; 40 hours/week
SALARY: CFA 2,693, 568 per annum (Starting salary before benefits and allowances)
The U.S. Agency for International Development, co-located with the US Embassy Bamako, is seeking one individual as Mali Distribution Clerk for the Management Information System Section.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
The incumbent will be responsible for internal mail distribution, mail delivery to external partners, pouch pick-up; preventive maintenance of USAID owned copiers. The incumbent will also liaise with the service provider of copiers’ maintenance. The incumbent will assist with the payment of telephone bills, Internet bills and other services such as cable TV subscriptions for all USAID staff.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education: Completion of secondary school. Diploma in Business Administration is required.
Prior Work Experience: One to three years of progressively working in a mail distribution working environment of a U.S. Government agency.
Language Proficiency: Level II English and level III French language are required. Fluency in Bambara and/or languages spoken in Mali is required.
Knowledge: Incumbent should have a good working knowledge of USG regulations on records management, correspondences, records control; and thorough knowledge of mail handling operations, office organizational functions, and modern office operations. Basic knowledge of Electronics and Computer skills are required.
Skills and Abilities: He/she must possess the management ability to organize mails, parcels, records and files management program efficiently. He/she must also possess basic troubleshooting techniques of copiers/fax machines and some knowledge of the local market. He/she should be resourceful, courteous and tactful yet effective in explaining basic procedures and requirements to Mission staff. Ability to upgrade skills and to advise prospective users of system limitations or other priorities is a necessity.
