WORK HOURS: Full-time; 40 hours/week
SALARY: CFA 3,519,105 per annum (Starting salary before benefits and allowances)
The U.S. Agency for International Development, co-located with the US Embassy Bamako, is seeking one individual as Administrative Clerk for its Human Resources and Management Office.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
The incumbent serves as the Personnel Administrative Clerk for the Personnel Specialist in the Human Resources Unit. The incumbent is expected to perform a variety of personnel clerical duties in connection with the examination and processing of Personnel actions. He/she will maintain personnel databases, records and files for USAID Mali Staff. In coordination with the Mission travel Assistant, the incumbent is also expected to serve as the Mission’s alternate Travel Assistant for all travel matters as well as back up the Personnel Specialist whenever necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education: Completion of secondary school. Some collegiate study/Diploma in Business Administration is required.
Prior Work Experience: Three to five years of administrative clerical experience in personnel work or a closely related field is required. At least one year of this experience in records and file management should have been with a U.S. institution or private organization having similar work environment is required.
Language Proficiency: Level III English language and level IV French language knowledge required.
Knowledge: General knowledge of personnel regulations and USAID Mali and other various agencies at post procedures, particularly regulations pertaining to the many types of Personnel actions. Incumbent should have a good working knowledge of U.S. Government (USG) regulations on records management, correspondences and records controls.
Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of computer programs (WordPerfect, Access, Excel, Assist, etc). He/she must possess good typing ability and arithmetic. Must have discretion about discussing personnel matters, tact and diplomacy are required. He/she must possess good interpersonal and cross cultural skills to be able to deal with American and other Foreign Personnel (Third Country Nationals), other agencies and also maintain good relationships with Mission clients and outside partners
