USAID/Mali has an immediate opening for an experienced Project Management Specialist (Trade and Markets)
The applicant must have completed education resulting in a Graduate Degree (economics, marketing, production, soil science, other agricultural fields, trade, business or an equivalent degree in social sciences or public administration) is required. A graduate degree from a U.S. institution is highly desirable. A minimum of five years of progressively more responsible experience managing and implementing programs related to economic growth (agriculture, economics, business development), preferably large-scale programs that aim to improve economic growth in Mali. Know ledge of Mali’s reforms intended’ to improve economic growth is required. Previous experience conducting program oversight is valuable (monitoring and evaluation in particular). Previous experience working with representatives of the donor community is an advantage. Relevant past experience is highly desired, for example in agricultural production, transformation, policy, decentralization, business development or finance. Past experience working with USAID programs, other donor-funded programs would be very advantageous. Incumbent must be fluent in both English and French. Testing at the Level IV will be required. Familiarity with USAID’s program focus in Mali is indispensable. Knowledge of,
Mali’s agricultural, rural development and related activities, opportunities, and constraints are essential. Good skills in oral and written communication, strong proficiency in analysis is required. Proficiency with computer programs in spreadsheet analysis and word processing is required.
