An international NGO seeks a Malaria Project Director
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Coordinate with project’s partners, overseas project and partner’s teams
– Support development of and periodic review or program management tools, and processes:
– Monitor and backstop all the project activities and provide support to project team through supervision, reporting, regular communication with field staff, and monitoring trips.
– Identify and support training initiatives for field staff related to malaria prevention and control
– Report project success stories, main achievements and lessons learned to all the project stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
– Deep commitment to the NGO core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners Master degree in Public Health or International or Community Health or the equivalent.
– At least five years experience working in a health program-related, administrative capacity with NGO. Specific experience with malaria control programming is a plus
– Strong experiences in project planning, monitoring and evaluation and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
– Experiences and knowledge with the health stem of Mali is highly desirable
– Good writing and communication skills in English and French
– Good proficient in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and web browser software.
– Good interpersonal skills, ability to be both a team leader and a team player and to work with people of varied backgrounds
– Willingness to travel domestically (up to 50% of time), including adverse
