USAID/Mali has an immediate opening for an experienced Program Manager for Markets and Trade.
The applicant must have completed education resulting in university degree in Economies, Agricultural, Economies, or a related field of the Social Sciences or Agriculture such as rural sociology, rural developement, agronomy, and natural resourcs management, five to eight years of progressively responsible and relevant in the management and implentation of development projects relating to trade and markets. Extensive knowledge of Mali’s agricultural sector and natural resource base and related conditions is needed. Specific knowledge of Mali’s cereal, livestock, and alternative crops sectors, including all aspects of production, marketing, and policy and other donor programs and relations is essential. Incumbent must be fluent in both English and French. Testing at the Level IV will be required. Familiarity with USAID’s programme focus in Mali in indispensable. Practical knowledge of Mali’s agricultural, rural develpment and related activities, opportunities, and constraints are essential. Good skills in oral and written communication, strong negotiating ability, proficiency in analysis and interpretation and proven experience and effectiveness in designing and supervising the implementation of a sector-wide program is require. Proficiency with computer programs in spreadsheet analysis and word processing is required.
