1. The Ministry For Foreign Affairs, otherwise referred to as the client, intends to utilise part of its Budgetary Allocation for the construction in Bamako, Mali, of aa 3 storey building to be used as the Chancery for the Ghana Embassy, Mali.
2. The client now invites sealed tenders from elgible parties for the purpose. The bid is open to bidders registered with the Ministry of Works and Housing (Ghana) and classified in the general building works category A1 or its equivalent; or qualified registered building contractors in Mali.
3. Tendering will be conducted through the national competitive tendering (NCT) procedures specified in the public procurement Act, 2003 and the guidelines of the public procurement board of the Republic of Ghana.
4. Interested eligible tenderers may purchase a complete set of tender documents in English or French on the submission of a written application to either the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Estates and General Services Bureau, PO Box M53, Accra, or the Ambassade du Ghana, BP 3161, Bamako, and, in either case, upon the payment of a non-refundable fee of Five Hundred US Dollars (US$500.00) or he equivalent in any freely convertible currency. The documents will be on sale from Monday, 17 October, 2005.
5. Tenders must be delivered to the Ministry For Foreign Affairs, Accra or Ambassador du Ghana, Bamako at or before monday, 19 December, 2005. Tenders shall be valid for a period of 60 days after the deadline of tender submission. All tenders must be accompanied by a tender security of 2 M of tender price. Late tender will be rejected.
6. Tenders will be opened in the presence of tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend, at the Ambassade du Ghana, Bamako, Mali, at 10;00 Hours on Monday, 19 December, 2005.
