  Full-time, 40 hours per week
SALARY: Ordinarily Resident (OR): FSN-5 – 3,812,057 F CFA per year
Not-Ordinarily Resident (NOR) FP-09* – US$ 33,700 p.a. (Final grade/step will be determined by work history and availability of funds.)

The U.S. Embassy in Bamako is seeking an individual for the position of Administrative Assistant in the Embassy’s General Services Office (GSO) Section.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Principal Assistant to the Supply Supervisor, she/he acts as office manager, assuring the correct and timely distribution of all incoming and outgoing communications and ensures documentation, correspondence reaches the correct destinations throughout the GSO warehouse organization. The incumbent manages internal office operations and acts as receptionist for the Supply Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Completion of Secondary school and vocational school in secretarial school are required.
Three years’ experience in secretarial work is required.
Level IV (Fluent) French required.  Level III (Good working knowledge) English and Bambara required. English will be tested.
Must be computer literate, with accurate typing in English and French at minimum speed of 40 wpm. Must have ability to develop and maintain worksheets and Databases using EXCEL and other Programs. Must have knowledge and ability to maintain an orderly office and office records.

Current OR employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
Current OR employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report (EPR) are not eligible to apply.
Current NOR employees hired on a Family Member Appointment (FMA) or a Personal Service Agreement (PSA) are not eligible to apply within the first 90 calendar days of their employment, unless they have a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.
