Our drilling service is the global leader in the application of rotary, core, sonic, and percussive drilling and our global teams of core drillers are skilled, knowledgeable, safety-focused and committed to our customers and our business. With this position, you will be placed on a highly motivated team who is responsible for Boart longyear drilling rig maintenance. At Boart Longyear, we conceptualize, engineer and manufacture our legendary drilling rigs. Key Responsabilities
1. Perform assigned duties and responsibilities in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
2. Upkeep of the Fleet Maintenance in MEX ensuring that all major plant items are kept up to date with the maintenance scheduling and tasks.
3. Monitor, check and liaise with workshop personnel and site maintenance teams to ensure that work orders are raised correctly and finished orders closed and properly documented.
4. Ensure that maintenance tasks for plant items are performed in accordance with agreed plans and schedules
5. Effectively manage the warranty claims and receipt ensuring that BLY receives its due entitlements in accordance with agreed warranty conditions
6. Track and update on a regular basis the location of all major plant and equipment
7. Assist in ensuring maintenance costs on equipment are properly captured and coded.
8. Produce monthly report on equipment Availability, Utilization and Reliability to Maintenance Manager
9. Assist the Maintenance Manager with other duties as required and directed
Skills
 Organise, able to manage time and meet deadlines
 The ability to create ownership within stakeholders of effective maintenance programs
 Strong team skills
 Proficient spoken and written French and English language skills
Education and Experience
 Strong experience in a mechanical trade or engineering background with appropriate trade qualifications
 Strong computer skills with experience in planning or maintenance programs, inventory management, report writing and record keeping
 MS Office proficient
 Post trade hydraulics, pneumatics and/or electrical desirable
General Background
 A strong mechanical background with trade or engineering experience will be highly desirable.
 Experience with inventory control, maintenance planning, cost control and vendor relationships would be advantageous.
 The role will have responsibility for:
– developing product specific maintenance schedules
– maintaining a service exchange program
– ensuring efficient rebuilding of key components, identifying critical items
– cost management of major rebuild projects
– auditing of regular and statutory requirements, and
– appropriate record keeping
Remuneration
We offer an industry competitive salary package covered by the Boart Longyear Compensation and Benefit book and the local mining convention agreement.
