The U.S. Embassy in Bamako is seeking an individual for the position of Warehouseman/Driver in the General Services Office (GSO) Warehouse Section.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:
Working as a member of labor gang, performs unskilled manual tasks in the GSO property section.
A copy of the complete position description listing all duties and responsibilities is available in the Human Resources Office.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Completion of high school;
Level I in French and English (speaking/reading/writing) are required. English will be tested.
Knowledge of safety practices on how to load and unload vehicles;
Ability to lift heavy objects.
A valid driver’s license from Mali or a CEDEAO country (C)-(Driving test will be administered).
When fully qualified, U.S. Citizens Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) and U.S Veterans are given preference. Therefore, it is essential that the candidate specifically address the required qualifications above in the application.
Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.
Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.
Current Ordinarily Resident employees with an Overall Summary Rating of Needs Improvement or Unsatisfactory on their most recent Employee Performance Report are not eligible to apply.
