Basic function of position:
To provide management to Education Project funded by CIDA by ensuring that allocated project resources are used as per WV policies, donor standards and procedures to attain quality project performance for the achievement of the project results
Duties and Responsibilities
– Ensure that communities are facilitated to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate the project activities for quality and sustainable development
– Coordinate the proper implementation of the project as annual operation plans and other planning documents
– Enforce stewardship and accountability by ensuring that resources are efficiently and effectively utilized within the projects for the intended purpose
– Ensure that child protection standards are adhered to and they are adequately integrated into programming for community transformation
– Facilitate recruitment of community volunteers, staff capacity & skills development and performance management in the project
– Facilitate networking relationships with government, local councils, education community based organization leaders, ADP managers and Mali integrated Wash Program Manager and other key partners
– Prepare quality and timely monthly quarterly ,bi-annual and annual project narrative and review financial reports
– Network with the Project coordination team and participate in the meetings of the consortia to share experiences and lessons learnt during the project implementation
– Ensure that audit recommendations are timely responded to, fully implemented and progress is reported quarterly
– Prepare annual budget, AOP, DIP and facilitate project monthly funding
– Facilitate assessments, baseline measurements, and evaluation exercises for quality assurance.
Qualifications
– Minimum qualification required : BA/BSC Degree in Economics, Agriculture, Business Administration, Development studies/ project management work
– 3 years experiences in development/project management work
– Preferred: Master degree with 2 years of experiences (in development facilitator’s position)
Technical skills and abilities:
– Computer skills
– Working knowledge of programs/ projects cycle management
– Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all staff and other key partners
– Working knowledge of proposal writing and negociation skills
– Demonstrated ability in leadership and team building
– HR and financial management and leadership skills and competencies
– Monitoring and evaluation skills and competencies
– Good planning and organizational skills
– French and English proficiency
– Driving skills
