Description : AngloGold Ashanti Limited – Africa Open Pit Mines, is seeking an Electrician for it’s joint venture open pit mining operation, Morila Gold Mine in Mali.
Location : Morila Mine, Mali
Qualifications Required : Be in possession of the relevant Technical qualifications.
Experience Required : Sufficient experience in Gold Plant. Exposure to supervisory position. MV reticulation 11/22kv. Overhead line experience. Tower crane experience – Not afraid of heights. Computer literate. Be prepared to work in a multi-cultural environment where no discrimination and abusive language will be tolerated. Be prepared to work in very hot and demanding environment. French communication skills would be advantageous.
Role and Responsibility : Line responsible to the GES/Engineer Manager. Technically responsible to the Electrical Foreman Metallurgy. Iddentify skills shortcomings and arrange for appropriate training. Working towards achieving optimum equipment availability. Development, implementation and commissioning of electrical switchgear. Apply standard specifications and procedures to all work done anticipating Safety at all times. Liaise with all other disciplines in order to maintain good communication.
Additional Information : The successful incumbent will report to the Electrical Foreman.

Remuneration : The successful candidate will be appointed on an expatriate 2 year contract, which may be renewed after the 2 year period. A US Dollar denominated salary package together with regular leave breaks will be offered.
