As a result of the company’s continued growth, an excellent opportunity has become available for suitably qualified candidates to join the Boart Longyear Drilling Service TEAM in Mali.
Summary of Responsibilities
To carry out drafting and document control functions in a dynamic services environment under general direction, which may involve research of new technologies/alternative materials, conceptual design, detail & design drafting, prototype construction, and on site testing,
Key Responsibilities
– Participate in design projects and assist in the solution of problems by modifying and adapting established equipment/designs.
– Complete detailed designs and specifications, including 3D modeling, drawing creation and document control.
– Create prototypes as required.
– Participate in the continuous improvement of currentproduct.
Position Requirements
– Associates Degree Drafting or equivalent
– 2-5 years’ experience
– Bilingual: French and English
– 3D modeling experience, preferably ProE.
– Understanding of machinery safety requirements and experience with risk assessments
– Understanding of drawing standards
– Conceptual design capabilities
– Interest / exposure in the mining sector
– Results orientated
– Conceptual thinking
– Self-development
– Flexible to some travel
– Hands on
Education and Experience
Associate’s Degree Drafting or equivalent and a minimum of 2-5 years directly related experience.

We offer an industry competitive salary package covered by the Boart Longyear Compensation and Benefit book and the local mining convention agreement.
