The Company
Boart Longyear has been a leading provider of drilling services and products to the global resource industry for over 120 years. As a result of the company’s continued growth, an excellent opportunity has become available for suitably qualified candidates to join the Boart Longyear Drilling Service TEAM in Mali.
Summary of Responsibilities
Reporting to the Zone manager, the Zone Administrator is responsible for supervising a variety of general office activities such as payroll, accounting, order processing etc.
Specific duties
– Follow up on timely submission of timesheets
– Check timesheet accuracy (hours and overtime)
– When necessary key local time sheet on pay space/OTL
– Calculation of bonus amount for local employees
– May set up and maintain general office systems, procedures, and methods
– Coordinates office activities with a variety of other functions to provide required support
– Typically manages the day-to-day workflow of clerical/administrative employees
Remuneration
We offer an industry competitive salary package covered by the Boart Longyear Compensation and Benefit book and the local mining convention agreement.
Selection Criteria
The right person will possess or be working towards the following position requirements
– Higher level Education/Background in accounting and administration (University/post graduate degree)
– Ability to read and write good/accurate English
– Must have good attention to detail
– Must be able to work with minimal supervision
– Must be able to communicate with people at all level
– Must be able to coop with pressure
– Strong computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
– International experience and or experience with multinational company
– 3 to 5 years’ experience in general administration/payroll labor law knowledge
