As a result of the company’s continued growth, an excellent opportunity has become available for suitably qualified candidates to join the Boart Longyear Drilling Service TEAM in French West Africa.
Summary of Responsibilities
Assist the Zone Training & Development Manager to establish and maintain a training system for the zone. Responsible to maintain the company training data on a day to day basis (database Input) to ensure the training program meets its goals.
Specific duties
– Data management for all aspects of training
– Update training matrices
– Collect, scan and link training documents to Skills XP and ensure all expiry dates is included.
– Ensure the accuracy and integrity of zone training records.
– Track down training certificates that are missing in the system.
– Generate training database reports.
– Identification and development of process/systems improvements.
– Be familiar with training procedures.
– Coordinate with Zone T&D Coordinators
– Follow up on recommendations from inspections and audits.
– Assist in conducting training needs analysis.
– Assist in the development and implementation of training initiatives.
– Ensure the web site have up to date information on training for the Zone.

Selection Criteria
The right person will possess or be working towards the following position requirements
– Knowledge of Training Management Systems
– Bachelor degree; or diploma in a related field; or appropriate certification.
– Professional level people skills
– 4 years related work experience in an industrial, technical or operational environment.
– Preferable to speak more than 1 language.
– Computer literate (MS Office).
Personal abilities:
– Team Player; VERY organized (precise with regard to documentation & follow up)
– Ability to be flexible
– Fluent in spoken and written English.
