The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Mali wishes to recruit for the following position:

I. PURPOSE OF THE POST

Under the close supervision and technical guidance of the Nutrition Manager, the incumbent collects information, maintains records, prepares documentation and correspondence and performs a variety of information gathering, monitoring, technical and administrative services of moderate scope and difficulty, pertaining to and in support of the Nutrition programme activities.
II. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collects data and other information on Nutrition programme activities of UNICEF/Mali country office.
Maintains, logs, files and updates records in prescribed format for subsequent use.
Processes and examines the information and data in accordance with instructions received, making necessary abstracts and computations.
Assists in the preparation of requisitions for budget implementation. Assists in analyzing financial reports from partners and updating the budget utilization of funds.
Maintains and keeps current registers and control plans on the status of projects at the formulation, implementation and operational stages.
Prepares background material, working papers and tables for briefing and review sessions.
Summarizes information reflecting current obligations and future programme and/or budgetary implications.
May be required to carry out specific operational/control tasks for programme/project implementation.
III. WORKING CONDITIONS
Post is office-based, with occasional travel within the country to provide support functions for programme implementation.
IV. QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
Education

Completion of Secondary Education.
Experience
Five years of office experience, including record-keeping and processing of information.
Language(s)
Fluency in French, working knowledge of English required.
Knowledge of local national language desirable
