Management Sciences for health (MS) / Strengthening Pharmaceutical Systems (SPS) Program is receiving funding from the USAID Mission in Bamako, Mali In order to assist the Malian Ministry of Health with strengthening ; the pharmaceutical management system of Mali, in close collaboration with the relevant national institutions.
OVERALL RESPONSABILITIES: The Senior Technical Advisor (STA) has overall responsibility for planning; and coordinating of all activities and personnel of the MSH/ (SPS) office in Mali. S/he reports directly to the country program manager in Arlington VA, USA and provides technical leadership and managerial oversight, and supports all program activities at the country level developing technical strategies and work plans and budgets, ensuring that these effectively address priority needs in support of the pharmaceutical management system In Mali.
QUALIFICATIONS: Pharmacist or physician with a graduate degree in public health, health Policy, development management, or related; 5 + years senior-level experience in health project management in developing countries including administrative and Financial management of a country office; 5 + years in pharmaceutical management; USA1D-funded program experience desirable ; Fluency in French and high proficiency in English, ability to write lucid technical reports and make presentations in Both languages; availability to travel in country and internationally as needed.
