ICRISAT seeks applications for Associate/Executive Bilingual Secretary to serve for the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) based at ICRISAT Bamako – Mali. CCAFS aims to address the increasing challenge of global warming and declining food security on agricultural practices, policies and measures through a strategic collaboration between CGIAR and Future Earth. CCAFS brings together the world’s best researchers in agricultural science, climate science, environmental and social sciences to identify and address the most important interactions, synergies and trade-offs between climate change and agriculture. The Job: 
Organize the office of the Regional Program Leader, (physically and methodologically) to facilitate the implementation of assignments and the flow of information between the RPL and CCAFS’ partners as well as scientists and other staff.
Assist the Regional Program Leader in day-to-day management of CCAFS program
Perform secretarial services pertaining to CCAFS program team
Monitor contracts and liaise with CCAFS’ partners organizations including disbursements of funds and reception of technical and financial reports;
Translate  official  letters and correspondences from English into French and vice versa
Organize meetings  and make travel arrangements for CCAFS program in the region;
Serve as secretary to management meetings of CCAFS Regional Program
Liaise with other CCAFS regional offices and the coordination unit to handle various administrative tasks  pertaining to the West Africa Regional Program
Qualifications and skills
Minimum of B.Sc./DUT (Secretariat de Direction) or Equivalent
Advanced use of Microsoft office and related programs especially, Word processing, excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, e-mail and internet
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize the work
Flexibility and willingness to work long hours
Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast paced
Competency
Five years’ experience in Office management and secretarial services
Language requirements: Fluency in English and French essential
Ability to get along with and motivate co-workers
Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
The Reward: 
The contract will be for two years renewable depending on performance and availability of resources. This position is under the category of NRS (Nationally Recruited Staff), with competitive salary and benefits package.
