Vacancy : superintendent Warehousing and Materials Engineering (DL)
Department : Procurement and Supply Chain
o Societe Ashanti Goldfields de Guinee (SAD) and
o Société d’Exploitation de Mines d’Or de Sadiola (SEMOS)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above-mentioned positions.
A. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Tertiary Qualification in Commerce, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Engineering and Logistics
2. Experience in a Management position
3. Dynamic knowledge, experience and understanding of inventory, Warahousing, Materials Engineering, Logistics, the Supply Chain and the Mining environment
4. Proficient in Frencg (writing, reading and speaking)
B. JOB CONTENT AND DUTIES
1. Direct line responsibily to the individual Materials Managers for SEMOS and SAG
2. Inventory Management, Logistics, Warehousing – undertake effective management of:
– Inventory process including stock classification, level setting and redundancies
– Warehousing process including receipt, safekeeping, audit and issue.
– Stock replenishment process
– Setting and implementing targets for stock turnover, limitation of and sale/disposal redundant and obsolete material, stock holding strategies and policies
– Proactive management of the logistics transport route/s to ensure cost effective and timeous receipt of material
3. Materials Engineering – undertake the effective management of:
– Stock standardisation, quality assurance, and quality control
– Management of Stock Holding – Strategic, and Insurance
– Off Site Repartis – Identify supplies, conclude repair specifications, manage repair compagny performance and quality
6. Develop and maintain proactive relationships
– undertake Performance appraisals
– maintain and publish Management report
– introduce training programmes for employees and proactively mange localisation programmes
7. Strategy, Innovation, Policy and Procedures
– continually challenge current processes, investigate and introduce approved Supply Chain enhancements
– ensure that all transactions are supported by Policy and Procedures
C. SALARY: Salary will be in accordance with the AngloGold Ashanti Schedule of Salaries
