Title : Garage Foreman
Description : The Garage Foreman is charge of mine garage that services and maintains in excess of 100 Semos Vehicles
Location : Sadiola – Mali
Qualifications Required : Be in possession of a technical grade 12 certificate. (Minimum Qualification)
Experience Required : Be a qualified auto mechanic on petrol and diesel vehicles. A working knowledge of auto electrics and hydraulics. Be conversant in French and English and literate in either, preferably both. Be computer literate Read and understand drawings and technical manuals. Have at least ten years experience as an artisan.
Role and Responsibility : The successful candidate must have sufficient supervisory and management skills to be in charge of the mine garage that services and maintains in excess of 100 Semos vehicles including, graders, excavators, tractors, trucks, busses, four wheel drive pickups and sedans as well as motorcycles. Some of the vehicle brands he will be responsible for are: Demag, Iveco, Unimog, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Landrover, Toyota, Honda, Yamaha, etc. In addition to that he will be responsible for the maintenance of in excess of 40 similar vehicles that belong to our sister mine Yatela. The diesel driven gen-sets and diesel driven pumps at our Diamou pump station as well as our mobile welding machines, pumps and compressors also fall under the garage foreman’s area of responsibility. The Garage Foreman reports to the Engineering Superintendent and is assisted by General foreman and Engineering planner in his duties.

Remuneration : 1-2 year contract. US dollar based salary.
