Supervisory Realty/Leasing Assistant, All Interested Applicant

The work schedule for this position is Full Time (40 hours per week)

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of a confirmed offer of employment.

Duties

Individual reports to the American GSO and the position falls within the Leasing Section of General Services Office. Individual is responsible for identifying and locating new housing as well as conducting lease negotiations as required, and maintaining leasing files. Establishes/maintains relationships with current and prospective landlords. Manages the Real Estate portfolio and strategy with a 2-5 year time horizon. Required to maintain the Real Property Application (RPA) system and all leasing records and is responsible for the submital of all required reports and related correspondence.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Five years of related experience including general administration, project or relationship management with at least one year involving either leasing, architecture, engineering or utilities work are required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: A good knowledge of local city real estate laws, regulations, and procedures as they relate to residential leasing and contracting is required. Maintain a current knowledge of local housing market, local leasing, utilities regulations, and practices.

Education Requirements:
University degree in Business, Finance, Project Management is required.

EnglishGood Working Knowledge – Good vocabulary and understanding of grammar and able to construct sentences. Able to use English as part of normal work duties including having conversations with customers and answer questions.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Translation and interpretation abilities in order to explain lease terms to landlords. Good oral and written communications skills that include customer service are required, and preparation of analytical reports. The ability to interpret and apply housing policies and regulations is required. Excellent overall computer skills and MS Office is required. Numerical skills for interpreting and reporting data are required. Must have a valid vehicle drivers license for at least 5 years.
