Description : The main function of the Mineral Resources Manager (MRM) would be to ensure maximum financial return to shareholders through the optimal exploitation of the mine’s mineral resource by timeous exploration, accurate evaluation and efficient ore flow management.

Qualifications Required : BSc (Hons) Geology Additional postgraduate qualifications would be an advantage
Experience Required : At least 10 years relevant experience Exploration experience and geostatistical skills are required Proficiency in operating mine planning software (Datamine) would be advantageous Good English communication skills French would be advantageous Be physically and mentally fit to work in a hot, demanding environment
Role and Responsibility : The MRM would be responsible for the co-ordinating of work performed by the brownfields exploration, production geology and resource evaluation sections. The implementation and monitoring of training programmes for the personnel in each of these sections will form an important component of the position. The successful candidate will be responsible for all reporting on mineral resources and will form part of the mine’s Management Team with an operational reporting line directly to the General Manager, and a technical reporting line to the Corporate Office in Johannesburg.
