Customs Delivery Agent – Trainee (12 Months)

Maersk Customs Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Customs Delivery Agent – Trainee. This role offers hands-on exposure across customs clearance execution while building strong foundational knowledge of customs regulations, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of customs documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates, etc.)
  • Prepare and follow up on import license applications
  • Carry out administrative procedures and customs circuits to obtain delivery orders / Customs release
  • Monitor clearance files through to final release of goods
  • Update tracking systems and prepare regular reports (file status, lead times, bottlenecks, etc.)
  • Identify documentation discrepancies and escalate any non-compliance issues
  • Contribute to improving processing lead times and service quality

Who We Are Looking For

Someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing) in Logistics, Transport, International Trade, or a related field
  • Knowledge of customs procedures and transit operations
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Analytical mindset and team spirit
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Good communication skills in French; English is a plus
